Most of the time this was no problem as running around shakes them up plenty, but if you are on sentry duty, keep an eye open for this. My only complaint is that I wish it was in more colors, but other then that it is a very fun blaster.

The D batteries are heavier and don’t spin the flywheels up as fast and so does not fire as hard as the rechargeable pack, which we talk about later. It did have a few stutters when the conveyor belt did not deliver a round to the flywheels in time, but it kept up a pretty consistent, and high, rate of fire. Review of the Nerf Rival Nemesis, a powerful, full-automatic blaster with a large magazine, excellent performance, and intimidating looks. Since you load the Nemesis in this way you would possibly expect the hopper to be fixed, but you can actually remove it. They built this big guy with older folks in mind (I'd say 12 and up crowd) so its a HEAVY toy without s ome sort of strap. The rear sight on the top doubles as the catch, so you flip this over and then you can remove the hopper. The Nemesis is compatible with the Hera MXVII-1200's battery tray, meaning that it can potentially take "C" batteries instead of "D" ones. There is also an ambidextrous safety catch that stops it revving, so check both of these if nothing happens. To load ammo into the hopper and you simply slide open up the top door and drop in a hundred balls (I still find that awesome…. The Rival blasters target the 14+ market and since I am over 6′ tall, I find they fit me better than most N-Strike Elite blasters, but the grips also seem to be fine for kids down to about 11 years old.

Last year we made sure that we got some amazing stuff so that we could have even more amazing Nerf battles and we were all happy campers. As with all flywheelers you have to rev the blaster for a moment to spin up the flywheels before pulling the trigger or you get a very weak shot. When it comes to bonkers ammo capacity, the Nemesis is by far the greatest official option, but there are other DIY mods to go even further. I've fought against battery powered Nerf toys for a while now since I've always felt the important part of using Nerf blasters was that anyone can power the toy with a simple motion of pulling back a lever or whatever device primes the ammo and pulling the trigger. As a high-performing, fully automatic blaster, the Nemesis is an excellent trailblazer for the Prometheus and Perses models. Here, revealed exclusively to Popular Mechanics, is the newest blaster in Nerf's Rival line: a freakishly fun full-auto blaster with a giant hopper for nearly endless ammo.
