The ambroxan scent comes out strong in this cologne and as you may know, ambroxan smells velvety, woody and ambery, with animalic, creamy and mineral facets in the mix. It’s a complex note that can give any cologne depth. The amber note complements and adds to all of the above mentioned qualities of the ambroxan note. Also, throughout the performance, I get a smokey feeling vibe. More like CDNIM LE, not Aventus. I detect it throughout, and as it dries down, it becomes more and more prominent. In the final drydown, it’s the smokey note, coupled with the sweeter Sauvage EDP note I get off my skin until the end. Which brings us to the sillage of this Armaf cologne for men. This is a bubble cologne, meaning people within a few feet can smell how delicious you smell! Await all the compliments you’ll be getting when you wear this cologne on the next night out! As it dries to the mid, I get why people say Sauvage, but it’s no where near the same thing, nor is it trying to be. It is NOT an “impersonator”. It’s not dressing exactly like Elvis in Las Vegas. It’s more like someone is wearing “an authentic jersey”. Does that make sense? You can tell when someone is impersonating someone, and you can tell when someone is just wearing a jersey. The impersonator is TRYING to be exact, to the tee. The jersey wearer just likes the player, proudly wears it in support, and people know who the player is. When I say “authentic” to describe the jersey, I mean it’s the real deal. That’s what I get here. You’ll notice a splash of creamy orange blossom when you first spray Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir on, and then, It’ll blend in with the spicy warmth that the pink pepper will provide the perfume with. The sweetness of the jasmine will peek through as well. It won’t overpower the smooth, citrusy orange blossom notes and sunny, citrusy bergamot. Fans think this Armaf cologne smells like Rave by Sapil because of how similar the opening notes are. In general, this fragrance is a good bit sweeter than Sauvage EdT - EdP I personally do not know, but I suspect that this is also not as sweet as Urban Man Elixir. The sweetness is for me rather a fruity than a vanillige - depending on the situation, this can be a little too much - at high Temparaturen in the office, for example, I would be careful with the dosage.

I get why people are saying this is a Sauvage clone, but I don’t get Aventus vibes. There is nothing remotely close to BR-540 in this, at all. When the middle notes evaporate, you’ll smell the lavender which will remind you of gardens in southern France and summer. Lavender can also give some a bit of a vintage feel, because it’s been used in perfumes for thousands of years! Otherwise, 90% of this scent is Sauvage-typical: the pink pepper is prominent, but a bit more subdued. Ambroxan is present to the sufficiency and provides the "Blue Fragrance" vibe. Patchouli, amber and lavender in the drydown is what I like at the Sauvage so much and this mix works just as well here. If I were to liken it to anything you may have tried before, it’s similar to Aqua Gio by Giorgio Armani.
