He becomes friends with her friends, knows her schedule ...torments her with pictures of that night. Thing she is she never remembered half of it. Creeper. As the programme developed, the plan supported individuals, voluntary and community groups, third sector organisations, care organisations and community focused businesses to raise awareness about dementia in their local communities and encouraged adaptations to services and activities to make them more inclusive.

Dementia Aware St Asaph is led by Sue Last who cares for her husband John who lives with dementia. Her insight into dementia has meant that there have been a number of projects that have taken place there. Sometimes ideas just seem to be in the ether. I hadn’t long finished this song when I ran into my old philosophy tutor and she told me about her new paper, and I figured that we’d written about the same thing – I’m sure she did it in a more general and rigourous way than my rather specific approach. We’re woven together by language, culture, memory… from the tell-tale traces left by the people we’ve known, we can read each other like a book. I had thought about giving out 3 stars for the fine details and the sense of realism at the beginning part of the story, but 0.5 star has to be taken away for the underwhelming ending and the weak MC. So, 2.5 stars only.

Creative Play

Switching between 1st and 3rd person perspectives, Kendal delivers a pulse pounding thriller that made me only want to read this book...during the day...in public. Also pretty much every character in this painfully stupid story is horrible. It's so horrendously bad, that anything else shines in comparison. Rafe is perfectly disgusting, though, and a creepy sort too, but a creep being creepy, doesn't add more than vivid and unsettling gore. As such I felt equally irritated and grossed out. Had there been some unreliability too, it might've been more to my liking.

Rhyl is beginning its journey towards becoming more dementia aware with an action group, which has recently agreed to become constituted. The group has been facilitated by DVSC and includes local organisations, businesses and representation from the community. It is a stylish and modern memory book to be filled out each year from age one through to sixteen. Deemed to be the continuation of the baby book, the journal’s recordings mature as the child does. It is the only childhood record book with prompts for the adult and questions for the child (from the age of three).stars. I both read and listened to the audio version of The Book of You. The story had a riveting beginning, and an interesting and believable premise—a young woman working at a university becomes a victim of stalking by a male colleague. He becomes obsessed with her following a terrifying incident in which she was involved with him. Following the incident he is continuously texting her, sending her gifts, and appearing out of nowhere. The woman journals her thoughts and collects evidence to take to the police, following advice from the leaflets she has that instruct her in dealing with stalkers. Unfortunately her stalker seems to be one step ahead of her... But here's where the story goes south for me. I wanted to feel the "tension" more. I had the deep desire to know more about the inner workings of Rafe. There was just hit and miss dialog from him. Perhaps we should have had the story divided more into components of the inner mindset of Rafe. Without that, it was just hand-me-down evil instead of going for the juglar. The Book of "You" wasn't so much about you, Rafe. Their Reminiscence Objects collection from 1940-1980 are brought to life, imbued with emotion and expounded with memories, by personal and one on one connections. Sometimes its chatting, laughing together and sharing stories with one other, sometimes its multi-sensory and found in textures, smells and sounds, in the winding of a hand whisk or the scent of a soap. DVSC's Dementia Aware Community Led Programme was enabled through Welsh Government funding to support local delivery of the Dementia Action Plan. It was set up in 2019 to support communities to generate and transfer awareness around dementia into community led action.
