This is very nutty, really milky, a little even sour in milkiness, but never nauseous like some nutty scent can be. Jasmin and spices are just right here. I foolishly ignored trying this delicious scent for the longest time for reasons that are beyond me.

Organza is a perfect mix of florals and vanilla with soft spice and wood accords. It has a grounded quality, but also an ethereal touch that strives towards the skies. It combines strength with delicacy, directness with subtlety. Wearing it enhances my well-being and confidence - it's the cherry on top of the cake. Golden, soft, sophisticated, warm. It -could- work on a drag queen with stubble, but unless they're on stage twenty yards away it would be insufferable, in a way that Giorgio, Poison and the rest never were. I’ve heard that the recent formulations are still very good. My bottle is from 2002, with the 6 digit batch code just before LVMH took over with their 4 digit codes. Front of the bottle where the “dress” is, is frosted glass. LONGEVITY is fair / good, but today I went out in the humidity and it blossomed ! Organza loves heat ! Organza is more grown (notice I do not use the word old), grounded, solid, and serious while Boudoir is younger and adolescent, smells pink, more aromatic, a lil naughty, and makeup-ey; hence I find Organza to be a lot sexier (I love Boudoir but never find it sexy nor skanky / animalic). I have a big vintage bottle, and I am glad to have it and I do wear it… it’s good in all weather (maybe even best in summer, contrary to popular opinion) …BUT…

The scent seemed to me extremely dense with a spicy flavour of papyrus and nuts dust. It as like settles of white-flowers mainly of the tuberose on my olfactory receptors. And my imagination was conjured up a shape of the dazzling-beautiful Queen Cleopatra in her palace, reclining on a silk sofa in a seductive organza dress in aromatic smoke among musicians and servants. Why do I spend so much money sampling expensive niche perfumes when unique, powerhouse perfumes were already here?" MAGICAL!!! HEAVENLY!!! FEMININITY AND CLASS IN THE BOTTLE! I have been postponing this review, because I wanted to find the right words to describe this miracle... Organza has been reformulated (maybe a few times) - but we tolerate the reformulations as they were minimal. |Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! When I saved up enough money and bought Organza, I found that I was really drawn to the fragrance that it worked well with my chemistry. I was, however, afraid to wear it to certain places because it seemed both too loud and too sweet. Organza shared this quality with another fragrance I wore that came out around the same time - Tocade by Rochas. I loved (and still love) Tocade, too, but didn't dear wear it in a crowd. So I will just emotionally give names, that come to my mind regarding this perfume: feminine, sensual, seductive, You can wear it in any setting and place; but I do think it performs best in colder weather, since it IS a strong fragrance, it might become suffocating in the heat.
