In the book the train going to the districts has to stop for repairs. Effie complains about being late because of this, causing a moody Katniss to snap at her. She leaves the train to calm down. In the film the train never stops. It is Effie's innocent comment about deserving the Victory Tour that annoys Katniss. She goes to another department instead of leaving the train. Haymitch, for instance, comes across as a deadbeat drunkard, but he is actually central to the rebellion. Plutarch risks his life to defect from the Capitol, while the other tributes in the arena are willing to sacrifice themselves to keep Katniss (and consequently, the rebellion) alive. Cornet, Roth. The day of the interview, the prep team comes into Katniss' room and find her and Peeta together. Peeta leaves and as the prep team starts to cry, they leave one by one until Venia is left. She then says goodbye Katniss and Cinna comes in with her wardrobe, specifically chosen by President Snow, the chosen wedding gown from the photo shoot. She notes to Cinna that it's heavier than before, but he explains that he had to do some alterations and tells her do not lift her arms until she twirls on television. The 15th Annual Golden Tomato Awards". Rotten Tomatoes. Fandango Media. Archived from the original on January 10, 2014 . Retrieved January 14, 2013. Peeta, whose love for Katniss was never an act, was broken-hearted at the realization that Katniss was merely pretending to love him for the sake of the competition. Since the Games, he has been acting very distant and cold toward her, and she feels guilty for the way she treated him. Gale has also been treating her differently since she returned home. Nothing is the same for Katniss since winning the Games. Prim comes outside while Katniss is gathering snow for Gale and she says things have changed since the first Games, whereas in the book this conversation did not exist.
