I rarely buy ebooks unless they are cheaply priced or on sale. I also very rarely buy physical copies of books. I’m a bit of a minimalist so I have to absolutely adore a book to buy a physical copy that will be proudly displayed in my home.

I’ve raved over this series for a while now. This is one of those series that I didn’t really care for early on but it grew on me. The character development and the world building in this series is amazing. I especially love the twists you never see coming. That is my only complaint in this book. Meanwhile, the royalty of Orea are calling for a Conflux in which Auren must answer for the death of King Midas. In the process they are spreading vicious rumors about Auren swaying the public opinion in their favor.

The spice is OFF the charts, we gain far more POV chapters (some of which are VERY exciting), we get WAY more Wrath interaction, we get a new budding couple who I absolutely adore, we finally connect the dots to all of the questions we have about Auren’s past after her time with Zakir, we get the true fleshing out of a relationship between Auren and Slade, we get 110% more brother content between Slade and Fake Rip (his brother, Ryatt), we get 210% more emotions, we travel to the very ends of Orea (literally), and encounter far more…interesting characters, there is just SO much MORE in this book.It scares me - what I did that night. Because I don't know my own power.... But that's been the problem all along, hasn't it?' Another fantastic book and what an ending setting things up for what I am sure will be an exciting finale!
