Description

This gentle, generously sized bar won our panel over – they said it left their hair soft, shiny and feeling clean. Bid farewell to plastic bottles and embrace a greener hair care routine with the Eco Warrior solid shampoo bars. Not only are these bars environmentally friendly, but they are also enriched with natural ingredients that will leave your hair silky and nourished. The base formula is similar to a body wash bar but hair care ingredients and extra foaming agents are also added. These ingredients help leave the hair feeling soft and allow the product to spread more easily too. How to use a shampoo bar

Ideal for use in the bathroom eliminating the need for unnecessary plastics. Also great for gym bags and travelling… can go in your hand luggage with no leaks! The best way to store a solid bar is in a dry and airy place, away from direct moisture. This will prevent the bar from melting or becoming mushy, ensuring it lasts longer. Some options for storing shampoo bars include: Proud to be a certified B Corporation, we ensure we're doing our best for the planet, our people and you. This small but powerful bar won top marks in the lab when it came to our smoothing test, and was deemed ‘extremely effective’ at sorting out any frizz. On the other hand, conventional shampoos in plastic bottles are often formulated with a broader range of chemicals and synthetic ingredients and generate a significant amount of plastic waste. Yes, a shampoo bar can be used on curly hair. This one claims to be suited to all curls and waves, with a delicious coconut scent.

Shampoo bars still produce the foamy lather we all know and love, and they're formulated to be less stripping than traditional soap. If your dry hair is in need of hydration, you can also buy matching conditioner bars. If you don't have either, simply put them on a soap tray and let them dry naturally. And to get that lather going again, just add water and work between the palms of your hands until some foaming starts to occur. How we tested shampoo bars Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate* (derived from sustainable Palm Oil), Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Aqua (water), Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate* (derived from sustainable Palm Oil), Parfum (a blend made from pure essential oils including orange and ginger), Glycerin* (derived from sustainable Palm Oil), Limonene**, Illite (clay mineral), Kaolin (white clay), Citral**, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate (naturally derived preservative to aid stability) A little bit of conditioner and hair oil helps with the dryness, but what I love about shampoo bars is how fresh, and clean my hair and scalp feel afterward. Pre-shampoo, prep your hair by getting rid of tangles and knots and then wet it. Apply the shampoo in one of two ways:

When choosing a good shampoo, I focus on three critical criteria: lather, cleanliness, and how moisturising it is. Bar holder or dish: A holder or dish with good drainage can keep the bar elevated and allow it to dry completely between uses. Featuring juicy mango to nourish fried strands and leave hair smelling lush, this bar did a great job in our lab test for smoothing stressed out tresses.

They are not only good for the environment but also for your hair and scalp. While it may require a bit of extra conditioning, the benefits of using this plastic-free solid bar make it well worth the switch. The eco-friendliest of eco-friendly shampoo bars, this uses zero plastic, while all the materials are biodegradable and recyclable — what more could you ask for? Small but mighty, this bar aims to last up to 50 washes. It didn’t crumble, managing to keep its shape throughout the entire test, and impressed all testers with how refreshed it left scalps feeling.

Dry and ventilated location: Store the shampoo bar in a dry, ventilated area where air can circulate freely, such as a bathroom shelf or soap dish. Soap saver bag: A soap-saver bag made of natural fibers like cotton or hemp can keep the bar dry and prevent it from slipping away while in use. Our testers said they found some so effective, they didn’t even need to follow up with the conditioning step in their routine (more on that later). How do you store shampoo bars in the shower? Using a solid bar is simple, just rub the wet soap directly on your wet hair. One thing to remember when using eco-friendly shampoo bars is that they often require a double wash. This means washing your hair twice, the first to remove oils and the second to cleanse away dirt.
