We’re going to add some February fun to our homes by learning how to make a Valentine garland with velvet covered hearts and painted wood beads. This velvet covered heart Valentine garland is the perfect bit of cozy to add to your winter home. HOW TO MAKE A VALENTINE GARLAND with VELVET COVERED HEARTS Be sure to leave about 1 foot of string on each end so that you have plenty of space to tie the garland to whatever you’re tying it to. Now comes the fun part! Grab all those strips of fabric and ribbon you cut in the beginning. Gather up 6-8 pieces and tie in between each heart. This year I was introduced to the world of air dry clay and needless to say I am hooked. Look how charming this Valentine's garland turned out. And guess what! Unlike my Designer-Style Velvet Pumpkins and my Velvet Easter Eggs , these velvet hearts are a completely NO-SEW project! Remember, if you think some of the pieces are too long they can always be shortened. Step 2 – Making the Hearts Once you are happy with your heart placement, secure at the top of each loop with a small dab of hot glue to the long piece of yarn.
