As you can see this is a 52 bar sequence containing 26 two bar long note events, each at full velocity. As the sequence name suggests, these events are added every 5 ‘semitones’ and effectively cover the entire note range of the MPC. (The 1v refers to this just recording a single velocity of each note). However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty

It’s a bug in the MPC Software, no matter what settings you have, the bounce is always 16 bit. I’ve reported it several times. ReplyA typical workflow might begin with loading a drum kit, and creating a beat, using a combination of drawing notes in gridmode, and recording in real time, followed by adding effects to individual pads in the kit, or across the entire kit. Then you might load one or two instrument plugins and program or record some MIDI parts, using either the pads or a MIDI keyboard. and…………………..I realised its because I didnt change the sample names, just the keygroup name. Awesome Reply The MPC One has 4GB of internal storage. There are 2GB of studio-quality sounds preloaded and another 2GB for you to work with. You can use the USB port or SD slot to add additional storage for saving samples, programs, and projects. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

Outside of MPC world, the Roland MC-707 is very nimble for both composition and performance, but more limited in numerous ways. Likewise, depending on what you're looking to achieve, Elektron's instruments offer fast, focused playability, albeit without the MPC's depth. Fire up MPC Software 2.x and connect your MPC Live/X via USB to your computer and turn on your MPC. Go to MENU and hit the ‘MPC’ chip near the top right of the screen and select CONTROLLER MODE. The USB ports on the MPC One have a variety of uses. They can be used to transfer files on and off of the MPC, as extra storage, and as an input for USB MIDI controllers. VERY IMPORTANT: It is vital that you select CANCEL here, do NOT press REPLACE. For some reason, pressing REPLACE causes the MPC to completely crash. So press CANCEL – this will load the keygroup program into memory. Now I am working with an MPC live and some great electric rhode-piano VSTs (often and before your above tutorial only in controler-mode). The given tutorial does not realy work in those cases, because when you working with some rhode plugins, they have those multiple dynamic and velocity levels (as you already mentioned above at the advanced multisamples options!) which bring out different styles of tones, the harder you hit the hammer, guess you know! Interaction with the instruments, like any of the MPC's main views, can be directly through the touch-screen, or via the four physical 'Q-Link' knobs, or by tapping any parameter or field and using the main encoder. The Q-links can be banked through different targets with dedicated buttons, but you can simply touch any on-screen element and the knobs will jump to that section.

Now, remember I said that you must never rename the original ‘bounced’ sample? That’s because when the MPC creates all those chops from that sample it uses a predictable naming structure, so we always know what the names of the 26 chops will be. So in the program keygroup 1 always looks for a sample 5 Semitone 1v Sl-1, while keygroup 2 looks for 5 Semitone 1v Sl-2 and so on.

No, you can’t run plugins in standalone mode, that’s why I developed this workflow. If you need dedicated multisampled acoustic drum kits for the Live/X we make plenty: http://www.mpc-samples.com/section.php/79/0/mpc-x-mpc-live-tutorials-sounds-expansions/ Reply
