That’s because when the MPC creates all those chops from that sample it uses a predictable naming structure, so we always know what the names of the 26 chops will be. So in the program keygroup 1 always looks for a sample 5 Semitone 1v Sl-1, while keygroup 2 looks for 5 Semitone 1v Sl-2 and so on.
