Where things get complicated is the choice of leaders. With more than 30 heroes, there are of course some that are more interesting than others. Some of the best options include the Lord-Relictor, a little priest but really resilient that can take buffs easily and can even become a wizard to maximise his efficiency, the Knight-Incantor, a wizard with a free unbind per game and a spell that buffs run and charge rolls and of course the Knight-Draconis, one of the favourite options as a general. As you’d expect, Aventis is armed with a host of magical powers that make him a very useful unit in any Stormcast Eternals army. Pyroelectric blast, his unique spell, works much like Arcane Bolt, but can be used to catch several units at once – you’ll want to use his mobility to get him into position and hit as many foes as possible. Even Aventis’s Arcane Bolts are deadlier than usual – being inherently linked to a realm of pure storm-magic will do that.. .

Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets. I do believe that it would be beneficial to swap the Sequitors for Vindictors who have a 3+ armor and mortal wound output. Since the army already gets a 6+ ward, having a 5+ ward during the combat phase does not seem as beneficial. They also would boost the range on the general’s warscroll spell which could be valuable in certain situations. The other reason is they cost 10 points less, opening the door for a triumph or just preventing your opponent from having one. Those that cast this spell can empower themselves or their comrades from a Redeemer Conclave or a Sacrosanct Chamber The save of only 4+ seems weak. Looking at the armour clad rider, I'd have thought 3+ would be more appropriate - especially at 280 points for 3.Whichever one you choose, we’d recommend a squad of Judicators next – a brilliant battleline unit, these superhuman archers are famously powerful, and will give your fledgling army some much needed ranged punch. If you went for a smaller starter set, you’ll also want to build out your melee-fighting frontlines (and spellcasting options) with some magic-wielding, mace-toting Sequitors.

There are two Stormcast heros on Dracolines, the generic Lord-Arcanum (200 points), and the unique character Astreia Solbright who is a Lord-Arcanum from the Hammers of Sigmar (195 points). Astreia Solbright, Lord Arcanum of the Hammers of Sigmar, on her Dracoline KazraThe Scions of the Storm are your classic Stormcast, able to be put in reserve and reappear at the end of a movement phase anywhere outside the 9″ radius from enemy units. Arkas Warbeast • Astreia Solbright • Aventis Firestrike • Balthas Arum • Cerrus Sentanus • Gardus Steel Soul • Gavriel Sureheart • Imperius ( Loxia) • Ionus Cryptborn • Jactos Goldenmane • Lynus Ghalmorian • Orius Adamantine • Ramus of the Shadowed Soul • Sylas Beastbane • Tarsus Bull-Heart • Thostos Bladestorm • Tyberain Vost • Vandus Hammerhand ( Calanax) • Victrian Cyrocco • Vorrus Starstrike • Zephacleas • Zenius the Dirge • Zeraphina Heldensdotter Solbright originally hails from the scintillating desert palaces of the Great Hysh Vista. There she was a Supplicant of the Great Lens, that prismatic edifice that stood atop the miles-high Pillar of Truths. That construction is so massive, so high-reaching, that Solbright spent her whole life up there, from her early days as a polisher-serf to her crowning achievement as a Lens Magus. When the Great Lens was used to burn the mutated drakes that assailed it during the height of the Age of Chaos, Solbright was pitched from her targeting throne into thin air. She never hit the ground. She had fought long and hard, and Sigmar had need of her skills. [2a] Beyond that, though– now more than ever– you should be guided mainly by what you like the look of most! If, however, you’re after a well-rounded, highly accessible faction – with just enough complexity and nuance to dip into if and when you fancy it – then these folksare for you. But who wants to play with models they know nothing about? Time to delve into the Stormcast Eternals’ lore, Stormhosts, characters, and tactics.

For rules purposes, the caster and this endless spell are treated as a single model in the caster’s army that uses the caster’s warscroll as well as the endless spell rules ( core rules, 19.3). A WIZARD on a Dais Arcanum has a Move characteristic of 12" and can fly. Last, but very far from least, Aventis Firestrike has an incredible command ability, providing a flat increase on rolls to wound for some friendly Hammers of Sigmar. Whether used on Aventis himself to further increase his prowess or to bulk up a unit of Sequitors, it’ll allow you to plan some deadly command ability combos. Welcome to our Closer Look series. We are digging into the changes for each faction in Age of Sigmar 3.0. Join us moving forward as we bring on different authors to give insights into their favorite factions!!Stormcast Eternals are one of the most beginner-friendly armies available in Age of Sigmar. While this statement is overall true, we need to consider different aspects of it as well.
