BPI Certified Awards Search". British Phonographic Industry. Archived from the original on 20 January 2013 . Retrieved 8 April 2013. Following the release of their first two singles, they rebranded themselves as "PJ & Duncan AKA", whilst the release of their third album in 1996 saw the duo attempt to reinvent themselves by releasing music for the first time using their real names of "Ant & Dec". Ant & Dec performed "Lets Get Ready To Rhumble" on ITV's television show Saturday Night Takeaway on 23 March 2013 as part of The Big Reunion. A few days later, on 31 March, "Lets Get Ready To Rhumble" became their first ever official number 1 single. [8] An honourary mention has to go to 'Whole Again' - whose lyrics have been altered to incorporate everyone's champion, England national football team coach Gareth Southgate, and the nation's favourite phrase 'Football's coming home again'. The song was the duo's first single since their 1997 release " Falling", after which they had decided to end their pop career and move into television presenting. They resurrected their musical career for CD:UK in 2000, for a one off performance of " Let's Get Ready to Rhumble". Their success with that performance led to "We're on the Ball".

The hosts were at the helm of the ITV talent show's third live show of the week as a new batch of acts aimed to make it through to to Sunday's finale. The latest semi came in the aftermath of judge Simon Cowell coming under fire from angry viewers on Tuesday, after he voted against Amber and the Dancing Collies, in favour of musical duo Fitz and Taylor. It was down to Ant and Dec to deliver the results and, there was one in particular that was met with anger from the audience - young singer Immi Davis not getting through. As the Geordie duo revealed that she was going home, loud boos echoed the Eventim Apollo in London, where the semi finals are being held. PJ & Duncan are a British pop-rap duo from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. They formed in 1993, as a result of the popular British children's TV drama series, "Byker Grove", in which their two characters were involved in a music-based storyline. When the two actors left the series, they retained their characters' names and subsequently launched a successful pop career, beginning in December 1993 with their debut single, "Tonight I'm Free". OK, so this is not a World Cup song and probably unworthy of a place in this run-down, but who can resist mentioning this synth-pop opus, courtesy of Spurs team-mates Hoddla and Waddla.

The song entered the UK Singles chart at number three, beaten by a cover of " Light My Fire" by Will Young, who was the winner of that year's series of the reality show Pop Idol, which Ant & Dec presented, and also by the previous week's number-one single, Eminem's " Without Me". It became their highest-peaking single at the time, beating 1994's " Let's Get Ready to Rhumble", which had only reached number nine. However, it was only championed as an anthem for the England national football team, when supporters adopted the tune after the win against Germany at Wembley Stadium during Euro 2020. Approximately 40,000 fans and spectators sang together after the match was won - and the players led the crowd through another rendition

A whole new cast of celebrity campmates will be ditching their creature comforts for a life lived under the stars; where collecting stars is once again key to earning food for camp. Originally adopted by fans of the Northern Ireland national football team, as a sporting song, after defeating England in 2005, the song has been played at home games ever since, particularly during Euro 2016. All are various artists albums. Ant & Dec appear on Now 36, 2002 FIFA World Cup and England The Album 2006 - with "We're on the Ball" being officially from 2002 FIFA World Cup. The remaining albums are albums released in conjunction with CD:UK, which at the time Ant & Dec presented (Ant & Dec also appear on the front cover of both albums). No Alla Violenza' was the mantra as loved-up England fans ditched the hooliganism and England reached the semi-finals. 2. 'Sweet Caroline' - Neil Diamond (1969) Acts in the third Britain's Got Talent semi included The Freaks, the creepy but captivating acrobatics who wowed the judges with their audition, as well as The Dots, and Tom Ball and Eva Abley, the acts who ended up making it through.
