This book is emotional, meaningful and significant. There were parts that were absolutely heartbreaking. And there were parts that made me cry. Irá avançar sem temores ou recuar com receio que alguma fatalidade que se avizinha se introduza no seu espaço onírico, projetando-o em flecha para o abismo?!… Narrated in the first person with chapters which alternate between Joel and Callie the story conveys both characters empathy, resilience and compassion in the face of extraordinarily testing circumstances. Despite not being a fan of love stories this one had rather more depth to it than usual and the characters actually felt like they had a meaningful connection and convincing rapport. The story is of Callie and Joel and how they meet and he knows when she is going to die. It’s a story where I kept hoping it would go the way that I personally wanted it to. I never at any point stopped rooting for Joel and Callie.
