Ran accross this post by mistake, but I know the answer to your rear fog only working on left side... i bought a universal fog light wiring loom kit as a plan B,to run the new loom right up to the original bulb holder, instead of trying to find a correct led bulb, that i can put into the place,i take the original bulb holder out of... The other fusebox in the glove compartment - according to trhe manual - does not have a fuse for the rear fog. The "On" pin of the switch connects to a 12v feed from a splice into the wire of the r/fog light switch for pin 1 (which is 12v+ only when the side lights are on). According to rule 236 of the Highway Code, "You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 226) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves."

If the above test is successful, is removing the airbag / steering wheel a straightforward job? What do I need to be aware of? i.e do I need to disconnect the battery etc The IVA inspection tests to a different brake performance requirement compared to the MOT but it will give you an indication that the brakes work as intended. Using high beam lights can reduce your visibility in any of these conditions, as the light can be reflected off the fog or mist, making it harder for you to see the road ahead. The switched circuit of the relay gets 12v live feed from a splice into the n/s rear side-light wire, the switch "on" terminal connects to a splice into the n/s fog-light wire.

Obviously fog lights aren't needed when it's dry, and there's not much point in turning them on when it's dark, either. The lamp housings don’t have the same kind of reflectors as main beam headlights, so they are unlikely to give you any extra light to help you see where you are going. Basically, the argument FOR dual rear fogs is centered strictly around using them ONLY in cases of severe fog. The dual set up improves visability for the following driver, (he will see you sooner), and two lights set far apart gives depth perception to the following driver which a single light can not give. I can't find the link to the Oregon regulation allowing two, but it is available, and I did read it yesterday. Most cars come with a separate button to turn fog lights on or off. Use these to turn your fog lights on. 2. Do fog lights really work? I'm concerned by activating the airbag by mistake when connecting the wires to the new unit (I don't really understand how the airbag is activated / what safety precautions I need to take) A Dremel came in handy to embed the switch neatly into the blank. I used a worndown cutting disc and a router/cutter
