To help you decide if this machine is best for you, let's walk through the pros and cons of the Sage Barista Touch. The touch screen on the Sage Oracle Touch was quite user-friendly and guided me through the entire setup process. It instructed me to flush the system and prime the machine to prepare it for use. However, I’ve spent years honing my skills, and not everyone is interested in devoting that much time to learning the ins and outs of espresso preparation.

We all know how it feels to find yourself on autopilot during a busy day. The beauty of the Sage Oracle Touch is that your coffee quality won’t decline on those days. The Breville Oracle Touch and the Barista Touch have a notable variance in their boiler design, which gives the Oracle an advantage in producing espresso due to its ability to make coffee flavours while simultaneously heating or vaporising milk. A cleaning kit included cleaning tablets, a cleaning disc, and a cleaning brush, all essential for maintaining the machine's performance and longevity.I filled the hopper with our Rotate Espresso to ensure I used only the freshest coffee. Fresh beans make a huge difference in the flavour of the espresso, so it's crucial to pay attention to this detail. Here’s another reason to love the Breville Oracle Touch, and a feature you won’t find on many home espresso machines. The over pressure valve is another commercial component that proves this machine is the real deal.

You can easily choose a preset drink – just scroll across the drink selection and press “brew” on your favourite. Nevertheless, the machine offers many features, making it the perfect coffee gift for intermediate and experienced users.

The Oracle Touch utilises advanced digital temperature regulation (PID) to maintain the water temperature within optimal parameters. You won’t need an espresso tamper or trimming tool of course, but Breville includes those with non-auto-tamping models. Seriously, I implore other manufacturers to follow suit and start throwing in more goodies! Warranty Essentially, both the espresso boiler and the group head are installed with digital PID controllers that constantly monitor temperature. Seeing as consistent temperature is a vital parameter in espresso preparation, this feature is going to make your life better. You have my word on it! Pre-Infusion Alright, we’ve come to the end of our Sage Oracle Touch espresso machine review . My seven-month journey with the Sage Oracle Touch has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. You must remove the tamper base and the pin above it to do so. Then, you can adjust the pin length by loosening a screw using the provided Allen key. Once you've set your desired dose (I recommend 18g or 19g), you're all set.

Our Sage Oracle Touch review confirmed that it’s for those who want to make great coffee, without it becoming an all-consuming hobby. Here’s where things get interesting. While you could totally use the Breville Oracle Touch like a regular espresso machine – by preparing espresso then steaming milk – it’s been designed to feel more automatic. Listen, I’m not the biggest fan of built-in grinders. For starters, if the thing breaks, you’re out an espresso machine. Plus, as the machine heats up the grinder becomes less stable, and grind settings can shift. To top it all off, a built-in grinder can make a lot of mess. One amazing feature within this machine is the adjustable PID controller. That’s a fancy term for producing perfectly balanced espresso shots. Our only misgiving is that the instructions vary slightly between the manual and the screen when setting it up.
