About this deal

Option : If this format becomes too chaotic, teams may wish to have a rotating "spokesperson" report the answers before the timer runs out. If you'd like to issue a challenge to a certain answer, put it to a vote, or look it up. Failing that, simply choose another card and play that Name 5 challenge. If you’re struggling to create awesome video game titles, read on and discover my 4-step system to help you brainstorm unique and engaging titles for your games:

Wild: If your team lands on a Wild space, an opposing team or player reads out all five categories on the card and then they choose which category your team answers. If your team correctly names five items for that challenge, you get to play again even if this was your third turn in a row.Name 5 is a good little party game that, with a little tweaking, can be become great. Although it’s far too easy to be thinking about this yet, I would highly recommend it for Christmas parties and family get-togethers when you need something that everyone can play together before an elderly relative suggests Candyland… It can also enhance their vocabulary. They might be able to think of something but not know what it is called. They can describe it to you and you can figure out what it is and tell them the name for it, therefore enhancing their vocabulary. Note: These instructions are written for team play, however 2 additional tokens are included should you wish to play individually.

If the team is successful in coming up with 5 answers within the Name 5 category, the team rolls again and takes another turn.

Resources and activities for sensory development:

These questions are the perfect opportunity for students to develop gratitude and learn more about themselves and others, too, as they have fun. It can also be a great discussion starter as you can expand on the questions given. It can be used with learners of all ages as a bit of fun. Note : A variation to the All Play is to have each team simply shout out ONE answer to their Name 5 challenge. The first team to "Name 1" wins the round. You can use these Memory Exercises as another activity that will enhance their memory and improve their concentration. The team with the youngest player goes first. Each team puts their token on the Start space on the Game Board.

Towards the end of the game, your team has to roll a specific number (exact count) to reach the Name 5 space. If you roll a higher number, you stay in the same space and play a card corresponding to the color of that space. Succeeding this, you can take another turn.

Special Spaces on the Game Board

If unsuccessful, it is the other team's turn, and on your next turn, your team can choose another card and try again.

On their turn, team members may all yell out answers as they think of them and keep count as they go. The first team to complete their Name 5 Challenge rolls the die and takes the next turn. If neither team completes the Name 5 Challenge, both teams draw another card and race to Name 5 again. The All play symbol features two colors beneath it. When a team’s pawn stops at All play space, they choose a color from these two and the other team plays corresponding to the other color. Colors are chosen before seeing the card. The All Play symbol has two colors beneath it. If your team lands on an All Play space, you may select one of the two colors for your Name 5 category before looking at the card.To get started with this resource, all you have to do is print out the cards and cut around them. They come with lovely illustrations to help visual learners, but you can also edit them to suit your teaching. Why not laminate them to use in the future, too? If you roll a higher number, you must play the Name 5 Challenge matching the color of the space your token is on to earn another roll. When you roll the number needed to land on the Name 5 space, take a card. Name 5 is primarily designed as a team game, however, it can be played individually if desired. Players separate into two teams (an additional two pawns are included for individual games but you could play as four teams easily) and place their pawns onto the start space. The cards are divided into piles and placed equally in front of each player or team. The team with the youngest player goes first. Gameplay Make a List of Nouns:A noun is any word that can be used as a stand-alone noun to define a person, place, or thing. You should think about all your game elements and write down the nouns they describe. For example, a game about a pirate ship could have nouns like pirate, treasure, boat, and sword. This space is almost like any other, except that when a team stops at a Wild space they can read all the categories and decide which Name 5 challenge they want to take.
