Ben Child (8 February 2011). "Mr Men to arrive on big screen – but will Little Misses join them? | Film". The Guardian . Retrieved 19 March 2017. As you can see every Doctor has a totally unique look with features associated with their incarnation such as the hair and glasses for the 12th Doctor .

This latest Doctor Who/Mr Menbook follows the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, and Ryan as they try to put together a fun birthday surprise for Yaz. The Doctor travels across time and space in search of some candles, some balloons, and a cake. All this makes for a rather explosive surprise! This hairy beast is not as cute as it might appear! In actual fact, however, in Doctor Who the Yeti were robots created by The Great Intelligence in the Second Doctor era (The Great Intelligence would go on to return and face the Eleventh Doctor and Clara in Series Seven). Appearing in 1930s Tibet and then in the Underground in Sixties London, the Yeti are a fearsome foe whose war cry sounds not unlike a very slow toilet flush. A Yeti also made a brief cameo in 20th Anniversary Special, The Five Doctors, but it’s unclear if this was real or robot… Read more here. Trapped with him are his companions Tegan Jovanka, Adric, and Nyssa. Today is National Dr Who/T.A.R.D.I.S. Day (23 November) and I thought it would be apropos to read this today.

There are a host of familiar Doctor Who monsters, villains and friends joining the various Doctors as you can see in the above picture. Let’s take a look (from left to right), who’s who in the world of Dr. Men The other thing I was pleased about was that there was a returning baddie! Not that I want to give it away, let's just say this baddie had already turned up to menace a later Doctor (So, I guess, he's not returning in this story, as such, but you know what I mean). Hargreaves not only captures their characters nicely (even makes Adric a bit annoying - or was that a bit of projection on my part? :) ), but fits them all into one short Mr Man length story.

When Doctor Who returned in 2005, showrunner Russell T Davies introduced a whole new generation to the Autons! The opening episode Rose scared young and old alike with shop dummies coming to life due the Nestene Consciousness desire to take over the Earth. We first met the Autons in the Third Doctor era and, coincidentally, in two season openers, both featuring Jon Pertwee (in his very first story, Spearhead From Space) and one featuring The Master in his debut, Terror of the Autons. The stories are set in a fictional universe called "Misterland", which is inhabited by the Mr. Men and Little Misses themselves, as well as some ordinary human characters such as shopkeepers, doctors and postmen. There are also various animals; Walter the Worm is the main animal who appears frequently. [12] The characters are human in their behaviours and attributes. The text is rather simple and straightforward. Hargreaves aptly captured the essence of the Fifth Doctor's stoicism fairly well. The illustrations are a perfect combination between the Doctor Who and the Mr Men and Little Miss universes. The Fifth Doctor depicted really looks like Peter Davison from the Mr Men and Little Miss universe. The Cybermen, who just recently appeared on television with the Twelfth Doctor and Missy in the epic Series 10 finale, World Enough And Time / The Doctor Falls, first appeared over fifty years ago! Hailing from Mondas, the Cybermen tried to invade Earth but, thankfully, the First Doctor was on hand to help out in the 1966 classic, The Tenth Planet. Over the years, the Cybermen battled the Time Lord time and again – and almost every time with a shiny new upgrade. Read more here.
