Agni spends years conditioning himself to the pain, eventually he gains the strength to start walking, and vows to avenge his sister and kill Doma. Agni and Luna leave to find shelter, and find an abandoned salt mine, where they loot some clothes. The pair are apprehended by Lean, a member of a small group of survivors from Doma's group of children, including Doma's pregnant daughter, Ranu. Fujimoto is an incredibly weird person, but he is incredibly talented. The artwork in portrays the harsh world of Fire Punch. Some panels are eerie and haunting, while others are...strange. translation, these things need no explanation. However in this series the little worldbuilding we see is nothing but a tease of what could've been something much greater. After nearly a decade of enduring the pain, Agni has conditioned himself to tolerate Doma's flames. However, his burning vengeance is as fierce as it was on the day Luna was taken from him. As Agni traverses a frozen wasteland, he vows to avenge his sister and kill Doma. The story is one Fire Punch’s greatest strengths , the world is covered in snow and civilisation is about to collapse, thanks to the ice witch who brought the snow upon the world. This brought out the worst in humanity, leading them to persecute the “blessed”, people with supernatural powers.

Fire Punch unique, and are why I rate it a 6, but you have to decide that for yourself. Many people try to ascribe a lot of different themes to this manga, themes that I don’t necessarily agree with. On its face, it’s wholly nihilistic, depressing, and little room for redemption, but that can be what draws you to it. their village alive, Agni feeds them his own limbs. Agni comes across a group of people who have passed through his village, including Doma, an army commander who happens to be blessed with flames that never go out until his victim is dead. Doma is discusted with the human body parts they found in the homes of the villagers, and decides to set the entire village on fire, including Agni and Luna. But because of his regenerative powers, Agni stays alive in seething pain.

I think Fire Punch is an amazing manga. I would recommend it if you like stuff on the weirder side like Chainsaw Man, then definitely read it. The main issue with the characters is that they never truly have the time allocated to develop. The problem is not that the characters are bad but a lot of them show potential which is never realised upon. The main characters struggle could be the only exeption to this and he is by all means quite interesting. Judah decides to try to kill the seemingly immortal Agni by throwing his severed head into the ocean, taking a train there. Also on the train is Togata, another regenerative blessed, and twisted cinephile who has taken an interest in Agni, aiming to make him the subject of a film as director. Togata kills all the Behemdorg soldiers on the train, saving a girl named Neneto from being raped and making her camerawoman. The two fight one another, resulting in Sun burning to death.
