Brian is also a New York Times best-selling author of his latest book, Welcome to Dunder Mifflin, as Brian Baumgartner's first cookbook is about his all-time favorite food both on- and off-screen — chili. for the company, who also takes chili seriously. Additionally, Brian was invited by the International No one takes chili more seriously than Brian Baumgartner, whose character as Kevin Malone became a household name in the Emmy-winning TV series, The Office. In real life, Brian is a true chili master and aficionado who is just as serious as his fictional counterpart about making the most perfect pot of chili. Featuring 177 chili recipes stamped with Brian's "seriously good" approval rating, Seriously Good Chili Cookbook contains new and inventive ways to spice up chili for all occasions, all year long. Written in the humorous and friendly tone Brian Baumgartner is known and loved for, this engaging cookbook opens with an introduction from Brian about how an infamous 60-second scene from the show transformed him into a chili icon, his passion for chili, and a fascinating account of the history of his all-time favorite comfort food. Each section that follows showcases specific styles of chili - from Texas chili and Cincinnati chili to turkey chili, chili verde, vegetarian, and other regional and international variations. Every mouth-watering recipe has been contributed by renowned chefs, world championship chili cook-off winners, restaurant owners, TV celebrities, social media influencers, Brian himself, and his dedicated fan base. Also included are 50 championship-winning recipes from the International Chili Society's World Champion Chili Cook-Off spanning from 1967 to present day, a foreword by fellow The Office co-star, Oscar Nunez, and a bonus recipe of the official "Kevin's Famous Chili" from The Office! So strap on your apron, grab a spoon, and dig in with Brian Baumgartner as your ultimate chili guide!

You can imagine every kind of chili – with beans or not – chili verde – turkey chili, Cincinnati chili – Texas chili; the list is endless. Included are chilies to top hot dogs. Included are chilies served over pasta with toppings. Included are chilies made with turkey. Included are white chilies and green chilies, as well as cheesy chilies. Included are vegetarian and vegan chilies. Included are chilies with international flavors. This cookbook covers it all. There's a lot of behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of The Office which also makes this collection fun to read. Oh, where do I begin with the Seriously Good Chili Cookbook? You know, they say the measure of a man is in his chili, and if that's the case, then I have been measured and found spectacular! Having made sure I understood the joke that forms the premise of this book, we move on to "A Brief History of Chili and Fun Facts" and "A Chili Timeline". The timeline is fascinating - don't skip over it! Then, it's story time again. Brian talks about his search for the perfect chili. It's a tall tale that will leave you wondering how much of it is true and how much is epic storytelling. Every mouth-watering dish has been contributed by TV celebrities, restaurant owners, renowned chefs, cook-off champions, social media influencers, Brian himself, and his dedicated fan base. Also included is a foreword by fellow The Office co-star, Oscar Nunez, 50 championship-winning recipes from the International Chili Society's World Champion Chili Cook-Off spanning from 1967 to present day, and a bonus recipe of the official "Kevin's Famous Chili" recipe from The Office (sans carpet)! And just when you're wondering where the other 176 recipes are, they appear. The variety is incredible. If you can't find a chili recipe in this collection to your liking, you probably don't like food at all. One grouping of the recipes are winners of ICS (International Chili Society) World Championships. The final recipe is 'the' recipe that was used in that incident in 'that' episode of "The Office". How fitting. All in all, this is more than just a cookbook. It's a celebration of the history, culture, and diversity of chili.

If you are a chili aficionado, this is the cookbook for you. It is one that will be much used, and it’s also fun to read. When the weather turns chilly, Brian Baumgartner's Seriously Good ChiliCookbook Is your go-to cookbook to find the melting pot of flavors that chili brings to your dinner table. While he hasn't tried every recipeincluded in the cookbook, he has tried many — and shared his own formula dubbed "Brian's Seriously Good Chili Recipe" in the cookbook. The Seriously Good Chili Cookbook has not only changed the way I cook but also how I view life. It's taught me that sometimes you have to add a little spice, sometimes you have to simmer down, and most importantly, always share your chili with others (whether they want it or not). Because in the end, isn't life all about sharing? Who knew there were so many chili variations with regional and cultural differences?! This cookbook is perfect for anyone who loves chili and, especially, if you’re an Office fan (who doesn’t love Kevin and remember his famous trip with the chili pot episode?!)

I really did not want to waste a lot of time preparing anything (I was commuting by train from Maryland, and didn't have a lot of extra time). I went to the grocery store and bought 5 of the cheapest cans of pre-prepared chili off the shelf. Threw it in a slow cooker and took it to work the next day. The recipes include some from the author himself, but many were from professional chefs, chili award winners and general enthusiasts. The variety was astounding, and there's enough variety that everyone should find something they like, even if you're vegetarian or not a beef eater. Brian Baumgartner is leaning into his "chili guy" identity that formed as a result of the iconic scene in NBC's "The Office"where his character, Kevin Malone, spills a full vat of the stuff all over the office floor. Who doesn't love a chili collection curated by the king of chili himself? This is the new bible on chili, with recipes for every style and diet and with heartwarming anecdotes from The Office's famous chili scene. It's ideal for any chili lover or The Office fan (and we count ourselves as both!). What I love about this book is how it breaks down the complexities of chili into manageable pieces. It's like they've taken the fear out of cooking, kind of like how Dunder Mifflin takes the fear out of paper. And trust me, I've had my share of cooking disasters - remember the time I burned my foot on a George Foreman Grill?
