Lunge's more sympathetic mask was also shown; it wore an attempt at a warm smile and did not have sanpaku eyes. Because the first page has my favorite character with judgmental eyebrows glaring at me through the title page! While they might seem frivolous at first glance, Urasawa always manages to find a way to weave them back into the main story somehow, where no detail is lost in the abyss. I've tried to expand my horizons in the world of comics and read foreign comics, and manga has been on that list of foreign comics to read. Also, how does he manage to just sneak into all these crime scenes without notice and still not get caught by police for all these years even though he just turns up at all Johan's crime scenes?

He loves it when people scatter before him, when they behave like a line of ants, to be grazed at by him whenever he wishes.I am also confused by why Tenma was a suspect for the murder of the Fortners rather than that in front of the Hiedelberg castle. I felt like Rudi was able to redeem himself here (although I am wondering whether he had to) and find some peace of mind. Meanwhile, in southern France, the other cop from the night of Nina's parents' death (Michael) is spending time with his family. But when this classmate begins to connect Johan's killings with things a patient is telling him, he realizes Tenma is innocent and helps him escape. Nina lowering the gun as Muller begged for his life was parallel to that of Tenma finally deciding to save the Lawyer when he admitted being afraid of death.

But Monster is different, as it's the rare series that delivers on its concept, while also being a very fast paced, entertaining story.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Like, you want to trust him so badly, but you cannot help but be spooked by his weird smile, by the fact that he doesn't seem human at all, his incapable of feeling.

The atmosphere was interesting given how he was trying to settle into this new fabulous life, yet he could just not sit still. This is a series that demands to be read close together, as there is so much connection between characters and past events that to forget any of it takes a lot away from later volumes. One supporting character, in particular, who is introduced as obviously a nice guy, only to be revealed to be a baddie and thus his presence just reeks of evilness, especially when a torture involving forcibly removing fingernails occurs. This is certainly the most action-orientated the manga has ever been, in how it builds up to the moment where Tenma is about to take his first life, whilst the likes of Dr Reichwein, Nina and little Dieter are desperate to save Tenma from making a terrible mistake.Proof of this idea is with the main antagonist Johan, the titular monster, someone who is so detached from the rest of humanity that it seems that he is something otherworldly. I've read several manga such as Lone Wolf and Cub, Akira, Bastard, and Death Note which I've enjoyed to various degrees, but the name Naoki Urasawa has come up with almost religious reverence in the circles that I've come across in the manga fandom.
