Duologi is a trading name of Specialist Lending Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (register number 774712 ). I'm currently on vacation with just my phone but I'll take a closer look when I get back to the computer.

Please refer to our FAQs and contact info page for the most commonly asked questions that we receive. Don’t take the time to do that, and you’ll probably accidentally take the hood off instead of sliding it. I really don’t need to say much about this lens’ build… if you know the 12-40 Pro…this lens is the 12-40 but 40-150. Mu-43 is a fan site and not associated with Olympus, Panasonic, or other manufacturers mentioned on this site. If its darker than that I use lights…but otherwise I can shoot this lens at 1/125 with the IBIS at 150mm and get perfectly sharp images hand held. And of course the fast aperture means we can offset the perceived noise disadvantage of Micro 4/3 sensor sizes. Despite it’s heavy duty build quality, the lens is a reasonably svelte size, at just over 6” long (160mm, lens hood retracted). Both focusing and zooming are fully internal, meaning the lens' optics adjust within the constraints of its outer barrel, so the length of the lens remains the same regardless of zoom and focus settings. for the OMD EM1 which, amongst other things, promised greater focusing accuracy with the 40-150mm lens. Additionally, it utilizes a Dual Voice Coil Motor, (VCM) autofocus system that features two separate lens groups that are each controlled by their own linear drive motor.

full frame equivalent lens this comes up trumps by a considerable margin weighing just 760g and measuring 16cm long. I'm no expert lens reviewer by any imagination and won't be posting shots of newspaper (though I've done that comparison and my real world shooting has confirmed it). After updating the EM1 firmware though, the 40-150mm felt a little faster and more confident overall. When I first saw the close focus distance and lack of a focus limiting switch, I was prepared to be disappointed moving from extremely close to extremely far subjects. When I go out shooting and take a small bag w/ two cameras, I almost always take the 50-150 on my EM1-II and a 24-105 on my Sony A9.

To protect against the elements, this lens is dust, splash and freezeproof making it the ideal lens to always have with you.

I do know that this combo is weather sealed and I will have a very hard time leaving my house without the 40-150 2. Pro is a high-end telephoto zoom for the Micro Four Thirds system – as such it’ll work on any modern Panasonic or Olympus body.I found even though this is a telephoto, I find myself using it at its closest focal distance all the time at 150mm. There have been a number of reasons behind the switch – there is quite a lot of wear and tear on my muscles and joints and I suffer from RSI and a degree of arthritis. I will probably post some more samples of both the 40-150 +MC-20 and the 50-200 + EC-14 in the coming days. Let me put things a different way: in terms of telephoto focus performance, the 40-150mm is right up there with anything else you could put on the Olympus bodies.

A ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating has been applied to individual elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.

Teleconverter Compatible Dustproof Construction Super EDA Glass Detachable Tripod Mount Dual VCM AutoFocus Bright f2. is a tad sharper and focuses faster, but 200m is much more useful for wildlife, and the 50-200 is sharp enough from 50-135mm to be a great portrait lens. Delivering fast autofocus and a minimum 50cm working distance through the zoom range, you are ready to capture breath taking images. Because if they had, they would understand that the settings we use on a Micro 4/3 camera can be quite different to those we would choose on a full frame camera when photographing any given scene. If you were to tell me that I would be taking butterfly shots with this lens, I would have questioned your sanity.
