Water helps the user to sweep our paving compound around the patio, it also allows the compound to compact itself into the joints.

This ensures the top of the filler is below the top rounded edge of the paving and helps it adhere to the base and sides of the paving material. When the water has drained away, a "flicking" motion with a clean soft hand brush (not the same one used to apply the compound) will aid the removal of any loose grains. Wet the paving, brush in the compound, then strike the joints for a smooth finish and stronger, durable joint.Grout joints normally set within 12 – 18 hours although we would generally recommend leaving them for up to 48 hours to ensure they are fully set before use. Particularly sensitive, porous stone should always be sealed on both sides and all edges as a precaution. In terms of application, there is not so much need to use copious quantities of waterwith porcelain as the EASYJoint will not cause it to mark in the same way it can with stone or concrete. Freezing weather will increase the set time and will cause the process to virtually stop, it can take many days for the joints to set fully hard.
