About this deal

From Bears to Birds, Penguins to Pirates, School to Space, The Treehouse Joke Book 2 is packed full of hilarious jokes and silly one-liners that will make anyone laugh their socks off.

was published in 1998; the duo has since sold millions of copies all over the world and won several awards in the UK, USA and their homeland Australia.Be prepared to be faced with a range of slapstick scenarios and way out adventures as soon as you open this book. This collection of stories is sure to become a firm favourite for middle-grade readers, who'll laugh out loud at the silly situations that ten-year-old Andy and his best friend Danny find themselves in. We loved how the cat got painted yellow and turned into a canary and flew away and also how the sea monkeys which weren't sea monkeys turn into a mermaidia and then into a sea monster. like at first i was hating it because of how stupid it was but then i'd find myself CACKLING LIKE A BANSHEE so?

My favourite part of the book was the illustrations of the pages - pages within pages - especially the one that has a page within a page within a page. Since they're Terry's only pictures in his folder, he and Andy end up in an argument which starts a drawing competition. First of all it has 13 stories complete with a bowling alley, shark tank, lemonade fountain, game room and a see through swimming pool. The book begins with the narrator and fictional depiction of the author, Andy Griffiths, giving an introduction to himself, his friend and illustrator Terry Denton, and their treehouse. But, they are lazy slackers, who are supposed to have written a book for a publisher, have done nothing, and have no idea how they are going to deliver results when weird stuff starts happening. After being shown the proof that Mermaidia is a monster, Terry sides with Andy, and questions on what to do.

The ninth book in the series promises more of the same, as readers find Andy and Terry running from the Story Police with the only way of escape through the terrifying Door of Doom. It was written for kids and me not liking it really only means that I don't fall into the demographic that it was aimed at. We at Books2Door love a good witty, hilarious book that is both engaging and makes for a good read at the same time.It has a baked bean geyser that erupts on the hour every hour, a wrecking ball, a fish milkshake shack, a word-o-matic (it knows every word in the whole world!
