I bit my nails, I was desperate, I was hopeful, I wanted to smash the book against a wall - which would have been pretty bad because I read it on my e-reader and I’m quite certain it wouldn’t have survived this special kind of treatment *lol* - I wanted to shake some of the characters, wanted to yell at them, I wanted to laugh with them, I wanted to punch some sense into their heads. Castle, James, Alia, Lila, and Kenji were all decent characters, I wanted to know more about them instead of reading about insufferable Juliette, Warner, and Adam.

From all of the people in there the only person who I find the most transparent and vulnerable was Adam. i wanted to be a cute booksta tahereh mafi lover so bad, but que sera sera, i’m sure eventually the world will be able to move on. I have always been intrigued by his character from the very first book but in this I am so much deeply in love with him and the way he loves Julliete and would do anything for her. If the author had written Warner/Juliette as the HEA without resorting to sabotaging Adam's character I might have actually enjoyed it.

But to take them down, she’ll need the help of the one person she never thought she could trust: Warner. Yet again I think the book had enough tension and enough serious moments to make me never feel bored at all and yes there us a slight love triangle in here but as you will find out pretty quickly, you can’t really choose Adam. I also loved the fact there is character development wether its Kenji or Aaron especially Aaron Warner and Julliete but hell not Adam.There’s a strange kind of freedom in the dark; a terrifying vulnerability we allow ourselves at exactly the wrong moment, tricked by the darkness into thinking it will keep our secrets.

He’s funny and loving and even if he doesn’t have any love life advise he sure does have lots of advice for how you can grow as a character and jump over your shadow. he could run me over with his car and i would drop to my knees, kiss his hands and beg for his forgiveness. lol* The old Juliette would have cowered and accepted the way Adam treated her, the new Juliette kicked ass!
