Around back is the second RGB array, which is designed to shine onto the wall for a diffuse lighting effect around your monitor. I continue to play a ton of Destiny 2, and it really is a great showcase for the G560, the way every planet has a different color scheme, or how so many areas have high-contrast shadowy areas with a few bright lights. This wasn't really a problem when I was playing games or cranking tunes in a busy daytime office, but at home, at night, with no background noise, I imagine I might want the speakers even quieter. Trying to find a good level is like trying to find a microwave setting that doesn’t leave your food cold and horrible or turn it into a boiling pit of lava that will melt the flesh from your bones.

It’s like the curve of the bass volume hasn’t been properly matched to the overall volume curve, creating a dissonant. Obviously none of this is essential, and it has the potential to cause issues when audio starts to overlap that you didn't anticipate, but as long as you're willing to independently control your sources it might come in handy. This contrasts to many other "gaming-focused" RGB-enabled products that retain their more aggressive design even when the lights are off. There was a firmware update as promised, but the G560 still gets way too loud too early, making nearly 90 percent of its volume settings unusable.

They should never have been present at launch, and while an update or two has promised a better volume curve and other fixes there’s still considerable work that needs to be put into making these speakers more usable.

Great for playing games/watching videos, however if your looking for good surround, then these dont work great in game. I’ve held off reviewing the G560 for a few months, in part because Logitech told me this volume scaling issue would be solved by a firmware update over the summer. You can go into Logitech’s software and drop every single EQ setting by about 20 decibels, giving you more headroom to adjust volume. This effect was popularized years ago with high end televisions and has since become available on the PC via a number of different products. In short, the G560's design, lighting, and choice of inputs make it a compelling option for gamers who really want to go all-out with their RGB setups. You can also turn the lights off completely, if you're the kind of person who eats plain Cheerios while listening to Imagine Dragons.

audio system, the Logitech G560 includes two discrete speakers — left and right — and a powered subwoofer. Upon opening the box, you’ll be greeted with an illustrated diagram that visually explains everything regarding basic setup. I’m sure you could find comparable studio speakers that run circles around Logitech’s offering — drivers with much clearer sound — but what’s here interfaces well with games and looks nice while doing it. For non-USB audio sources, users can cycle through basic RGB lighting options — solid color, cycling color, audio visualizer — with any audio input. Programmable G-key cycles through color brightness by default, or can be programmed to trigger applications or execute in-game macros via LGS.The subwoofer itself sits at the bottom of the box facing down towards your desk or floor depending on where you end up placing it. It’s completely dominated by bass, the subwoofer coming through way more than the two satellite speakers. ONE SPEAKER FOR ALL YOUR AUDIO – The versatile, easy-access G560 connects to and mixes multiple sources: USB, 3. The volume control you have on the software is great plenty of options to tweak and optimise your space. WATTS POWERFUL SOUND – Feel the explosive action from 240 watts peak (120 watts RMS) power feeding the down-firing subwoofer and two satellite speakers with lightweight, high-strength metallic drivers.

Given Logitech's track record for both speakers and gaming peripherals, maybe that's not shocking, but it's good news, just the same. While these port standards exist, Logitech has recycled them to use for both left and right speakers (DB9 = Left, VGA = Right). Gaming headsets have their place, particularly if you're into the competitive scene and need a microphone by your lips at all times. Outlets and voltage differ internationally and this product may require an adapter or converter for use in your destination.

Integrated DTS: X ultra surround sound renders 3D positional audio so you hear your gaming environment from every angle. However, the convenience of having this capability in your speakers without needing to mount RGB lights and rely on additional software is a positive factor. I read reviews before purchasing it, and they were more or less universally positive, especially when it comes to audio quality. Overall Screen Sampler works quite well, however I did notice that there is a slight maybe 500ms delay between the monitor’s image changing and the speakers updating the color profile. I loved them, yet I really wanted to review Logitech’s new speakers and since I couldn’t get my grubby little mitts on a loan set for review I did the unthinkable and decided to sell my SP2500s to fund picking up the G560s.
