Description

A battery-powered motor propels your Quetzalcoatlus through the air while a thin cable keeps it soaring along a circular flight path. The Quetzalcoatlus attacked Owen, Claire, and Kayla on the plane on their way to Biosyn headquarters, before managing to escape them and flies away.

AR lets kids study the dinosaur in the lab with fun visual learning and explore different modes, like thermal and x-ray! I have now six Lais decoders from this seller and they have all been delivered quickly and securely. This cool set combines brilliantly with Jurassic World Atrociraptor Dinosaur: Bike Chase set (76945) for even more action and is an ideal gift for children from 7 years old and up, perfect for beginners and all young dinosaurs fans. Named after the Aztec feathered serpent god, Quetzalcoatl, the first fossils of this feathered flier were discovered in Texas in 1971 by geology student Douglas Lawson. There are probably other things inaccurate about it but that’s as deep into accuracy as I dare go with a Mattel toy. At the end of the film, three Quetzalcoatlus were seen flying with a mix-flock of Pteranodons and geese.

Overall, the Mattel Quetzalcoatlus is a big, fun, nicely sculpted AND painted, surprisingly accurate toy that has proven to be an improvement on its predecessor, and more accessible too. Imagine a bird-like creature with a 36-foot wingspan, a massive beak, and fierce talons soaring through the skies above you! Quetzalcoatlus lived in the southern states of the USA around 66-72 million years ago and coexisted with with a range of other pterosaurs including Javelinadactylus as well as many dinosaurs such as Triceratops, Alamosaurus and the fearsome Tyrannosaurus. Recent studies have shown that it would be capable of boosting itself several feet into the air with its hind legs to gain the momentum necessary for downstrokes. Last week we took a look at one of the land dinosaurs coming to the game with the new DLC: Pyroraptor.

Aside from the JWD Parasaurolophus, the Quetzalcoatlus probably has the best design of all the new animals.

When the prologue (and later, trailer) for Jurassic World: Dominion dropped, it was met with a lot of grievances from our community. Hope this will eventually get a change or we're proven wrong, would love to see this magnificent beast walk and hunt down some smaller land animals, would be amazing. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Indeed, the shot in the prologue of the pycnofiber clad Quetzalcoatlus gliding in amongst the smaller pterosaurs, with its contemporaries quadrupedally wading in the background, was just as breathtaking as any Spielbergian moment the original Jurassic Park had to offer.

The plane has spinning propellers and an opening cargo hold, plus the engines are designed to break-off under attack (and reattach easily). This is without question one of Mattel’s best Jurassic World toys to date, and certainly their best pterosaur.
