Wow can't believe im saying this, at first i was like wow this smells so amazing, lots of people say this is a great signature scent so i made it mine, however after a month of usage, i gotten very bored of it. Some notes are quite different in this from what I'm wearing a lot of lately so it SHOULD stand out.

It's like a tuxedo fragrance for me, can't wear it all the time, but it always blows me away the few times I do. The layering of cedar, almond, and leather creates a rich sillage, marrying masculinity with contemporary elegance.I don't really pick up much of the rose but I'm sure the floral accord must blend in beautifully to people who are sensitive to that smell. I even bought a 100ml back-up bottle of this, l'Instant de Guerlain EdP, l'Homme EdP and l'Homme Ideal Extreme. It's a charismatic scent that I think could be pulled off by a woman as well, as I don't feel like I've put on someone else's perfume when I spray it on my skin.

This smells rich and feels like a cooler weather fragrance to me, but it doesn't feel like it's necessarily an evening fragrance. I've been looking for my signature with a perfume for 4 years, and I haven't found it, however I found THE perfume if I want to please and receive compliments: It's l'homme idéal EDP! In the heart, cinnamon and plum notes escort the heliotrope, a floral note with elegant almond accents. I own the Intense flanker version which I judge to be better balanced, showing a bit of cardamom in the opening.The brightness in the opening along with the strong cherry and gentle sweetness of the dry down make it very versatile. L’Homme Ideal can be a little temperamental, and there has been times when it re-announced itself somewhat cloyingly during the day when I experienced a change in body or room temperature. Finally found a sample of this after hearing reviews of it for almost 2 years and I am pleasantly surprised. It is this that keeps it smelling elegant/sophisticated instead of the countless teen designer scents out there on the market which are mostly blended poorly and typical.
