If you can’t afford it I understand and am sorry, but don’t rain on everyone else’s parade, that makes no sense. And though it may be her watershed moment, the album, its classic singles and accompanying videos are part of a conceptual cycle that would continue with her later, more underrated records, presenting further autobiographical subject matter, romantic imagery and studio wizardry.

Hounds of Love is of course Bush's most famous single, and her second most famous single, 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)' as mentioned above, also makes it onto this album, proving why it is deserving of the classic status it has long held. The boxes are also accompanied on Kate’s updated site with an unboxing video which features a voiceover by Sir Ian McKellan! Featuring “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)”, it has since been certified Double Platinum in the UK by the British Phonographic Industry.The first 5 tracks were 4 singles (albeit some slightly remixed) and the quirky, by totally essential, Mother Stands For Comfort. A classic album, whether you are a big Kate fan or not, with some great singles, and, in the original releases, quite energised percussion, particularly on the brilliant Running Up That Hill. Do not put the solar panel closer then 10 cm from an artificial light source as this could cause heat damage to the solar panel. The 80s production sharp edges on drums etc have presumably been smoothed down a bit in remastering, more in keeping with the production of her later albums.

Kate Bush’s 1985 album Hounds Of Love will be reissued on CD and vinyl later this year, it has been announced. Fortunately, Bush was afforded creative control over her immensely more abstract than necessary promo clips, which invariably accorded with, added new meaning to and translated her lyrics, inevitably showcasing her symbolised sensuality and sense of wonder in an overtly stylish and romantic manner. I'm not saying this negatively, I'm so incredibly happy she's getting the recognition she deserves but I fear most of it is a fad and way more about stranger things than kate bush. Side 1, Big Sky has been changed, so it runs shorter I expect and fits on the remastered album better. Because of that, most probably, plenty of her music is being reissued and made available for those who missed it first time round, or those who still value its truly unique sound.

This by far beats out any Madonna or Lady Gaga album (I'm a fan of Madonna's music, not her, but I am a 17-year-old dedicated Little Monster of Queen Gaga!

I just fear most won't like her other stuff due to its artistic avant garde nature, it's the opposite of mainstream which is what stranger things is. All three new editions of Hounds of Love will be released on 1 December 2023 via The state51 Conspiracy.

I now listen to the likes of Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie (Lady Gaga inspired this choice mostly), and so on, due to this album! The Baskerville Edition is accompanied by a beautiful new Cloudbusting-themed video which depicts a young Peter Reich (actor Gus Turner) receiving the record and telling his story.

Hounds Of Love remains the only Kate Bush studio album that has been expanded into any kind of ‘deluxe’ edition when in 1997 EMI issued a new CD edition as part of its Centenary celebrations with a modest six extra tracks. Even under contemporaneous scrutiny, both parts, replete with layered electronic instrumentation, sound effects, and expressive yet refined vocal acrobatics, successfully cohere, and, if persevered with, the full measure still holds up and works incredibly well despite its ambitious structure.Though not the most prolific of album artists, Bush's works make up in impact what they lack in frequency. To the Nattering Naybobs of Negativity, I say there are those who will happily snap up these limited edition art pieces, and there are those who won’t. The album spawned the hit single ‘Running Up That Hill’ which reached number three back in 1985 and then hit number one in the UK last year thanks to its inclusion in Netflix’s Stranger Things.
