Written for World Book Day 2003, An Eye For an Eye has been republished in a new edition of Noughts & Crosses. It describes one evening while Sephy is pregnant with Callie Rose when her sister, Minerva, visits her. Minerva offers to patch up things with Jasmine, but Sephy tries to get Minerva to leave, as Sephy was worried about being followed by Jude. As Minerva visits, Jude arrives in the apartment after days of following Sephy, intent on killing Sephy. the President and Vice President are assassinated(supposedly) while they are together in the same place. circumstances don't matter, the Secret service would never allow them together for that very reason. which brings the next "Tweak" This is an astonishingly good, absolutely riveting account of a disparate group of individuals whose exploits during WW2 went largely unsung. It was provided to me by netgalley and is well written with humor, empathy and clarity. It brings in accounts of other operations and the bigger picture to provide context, but never moves away from the double agents themselves. The author eventually decided to move to New York and worked for an advertising agency as a junior copywriter. The North American company would eventually see Patterson become its CEO. While he was working there in 1976, the author saw his debut novel published. The Thomas Berryman Number was initially turned down on the behalf of no less than 31 publishers but went on to win praise and an Edgar Award.

Double Cross is a good example of its genre, but it is unclear whether it is a genre that should thrive. There were lots of pieces of info regarding the two Kennedy murders that are very intriguing. The book states as fact that the Outfit, in conjunction with the CIA, were responsible for both murders. The facts presented are compelling, but anyone who has real proof has not yet provided it. You decide what you think. Tobey's guilt over Rebecca's death leads him to believe he no longer deserves Callie Rose, estranging himself from her. Sephy and Nathan marry, and she's pregnant with a son, Troy, by Callie Rose's next birthday. During the party, Tobey and Callie Rose have a huge argument over his continued secrecy about his involvement in McAuley's death. He decides to end his and Callie Rose's relationship for good. Patterson donated over thirty-five million in funds to Manhattan Collage, University of Wisconsin, and Vanderbilt University. He has also established several hundred scholarships at different universities and colleges located across the country. He has also helped the U.S. forces read, enabling the donation of over a million books to overseas soldiers and those serving at home.

During the next three months Libby is elected head student of Heathcroft High, and she and Troy form a sibling relationship and undergo therapy for their experiences, while Callie Rose considers starting a career in politics. It should be said loud and clear that Macintyre is a supremely gifted storyteller. He spins quite a yarn. His books are absurdly entertaining. I would kill for his keen wit. He takes us into a world of bounders, spivs, roués, and men (and women) on the make…. Some may say that this book is just one of many conspiracy theories written about JFK and RFK assassinations. This is an original, intelligent, perceptive and though-provoking series of books – and whilst squarely aimed at the Young Adult market, it clearly transcends the restrictive boundaries of that genre.

beyond that the plot- even with the current political climate ,was so far out there, it was baffling to think about. the military accidentally uncovers a plot against the Government.but because they don't know who they can trust, they let the plot go forward, causing death and destruction , to uncover the leaders.that is the main thing that bothered me, even for fiction. and then the other little things built up,and just pushed me too far. At the time of the series, slavery had been abolished for some time, but segregation, similar to the Jim Crow Laws, continues to operate to keep the Crosses (dark-skinned people) in control of the Noughts (lighter-skinned people). An international organisation, the Pangaean Economic Community, exists. Seeming to be similar to the United Nations in scope but similar to the European Union in powers, it is playing a role in forcing change by directives and boycotts. Britain is known as Albion, Africa is one country called Zafrika, and Scandinavia is too, known as Fenno-Scandia, the only Nought country left. It is also a fact that the Kennedy fortune came from bootlegging and that Joe Kennedy was not only a criminal but also a Nazi sympathizer, as confirmed during his Ambassadorship to London between 1938 and 1940 and his friendship with Nancy Astor and Oswald Mosley, both staunch antisemites. Eva Foxton: An old nurse who becomes a mother figure for Dan, eventually succeeding him as the leader of his gang, the Outfit.Persephone "Sephy" Hadley is a Cross and the daughter of a wealthy senior politician, Kamal Hadley, who later becomes Prime Minister. A final comment, and also the reason I piped up (ad nauseum) in the first place; the tail end of the preceding article refers to Cross being “the ultimate heroine”. I guess I missed the gender identity crises that apparently plagued Alex Cross’ life throughout the series. I wonder how his public restroom visits while in North Carolina were played out? Wow, talk about a plot twist……(yes, this IS intended to be sarcasm!). Reply The plot wasn't bad, there are so many different sociological aspects that could be examined in the context of this series, but it was quite disjointed compared to the clear lineal structure between the first three novels. Ryan McGregor: Callum, Jude, and Lynette's father, who is killed trying to escape from prison after the Dundale bombing. Ugh, this book would have been super freaking amazing if Alex didn't always have to chase the "new romance" in every god damn book! I wanted to throw my book out of a window so many freaking times. The Double Cross spies were, variously, courageous, treacherous, capricious, greedy, and inspired. They were not obvious heroes, and their organization was betrayed from within by a Soviet spy. One was so obsessed with her pet dog that she came close to derailing the entire invasion. All were, to some extent, fantasists, for that is the very essence of espionage. Two were of dubious moral character.One was a triple, and possibly a quadruple, agent."

This is the last Patterson book I'm going to read. I'd already given up on all but the Alex Cross series but after "Double Cross", I'm finished with that series, also. After her friend Tobey calls her a terrorist's daughter, Callie struggles with discovering the real career of her father: he was considered a terrorist.
