Description

The novel backtracks to three days earlier to the family’s arrival from Dublin for Aaron’s reunion with friends Dave, Scott, Maggie and Nita, alternating between that and the Monday that Faye goes missing. Sive and Aaron's six-year-old daughter Faye goes missing on the London Underground, and no one saw a thing. Whilst it’s not my favourite of Andrea’s, this one is perfect for holidays or when you’re looking for something compelling between heavier, longer reads. When Marissa Irvine arrives at 14 Tudor Grove, expecting to pick up her young son Milo from his first play date with a boy at his new school. What I loved so much about this book was the complexity of the story, you are pushed and pulled in multiple different directions and the number of red herrings and false starts will leave equally frustrated and enthralled - just when you think you have it sussed, you don't!

There’s so much to this story I don’t want to give away any spoilers however I devoured this and had to force myself to put it down come bedtime! Now that those three kids are 10 years older and into their teenage and tween-age years, I’m not comfortable writing about what they deal with, [or] how I sometimes – okay, often, very often – struggle parenting teens. Nothing was as it seemed and many characters were hiding, or at least not revealing, their true selves.

Marissa Irvine arrives at 14 Tudor Grove, expecting to pick up her young son Milo from his first playdate with a boy at his new school. I've really enjoyed the previous novels I've read by the author so was looking forward to reading No One Saw a Thing. Jenny is in France on business and has no knowledge of any arrangements and over the next few days suspicions fall in several places. The doors of a train on London’s Underground close before a mother can get on to join her two small children who are already on board.I honestly thought I had a vague idea why but even when the biggest clue was dropped I didn't even pick up on it. Digamos que no me ha convencido que se considerase el secuestro del niño como la única vía para solucionar todo el lío. Andrea, you've done it again with another 5-star, fast-paced thriller with multiple curve balls to keep you guessing until the final few pages.

The ‘ judgey’ school gate witchy coven of the wealthy Dublin area adds an intriguing but fist clenching dimension too. Or brings them to a ridiculous reunion with the most nauseating former housemates you could ever meet? While trying to get them all on the underground the two girls get on the train without their mum but only one of them gets off at the next stop.As claustrophobic as the London Underground, 'No one Saw a Thing' has high stakes, everything to lose and it's packed full of twists and reveals. This is very action-driven so we're spared the whiny inner-monologues that most thrillers these days can't seem to get away from. Truth is stranger than fiction, or so it’s said, and happily for me, my kids spent most of their early years putting the heart crossways on me by temporarily disappearing and providing inspiration for future books.
