The Joyo is conversely a tad more grainy to my ears, although various online demos had suggested me the contrary.

Ability connect to the PC through the USB, and use the matching software to edit tones and update firmware, load or delete third party IRs, supports both Windows/Mac OS.

while others take centuries to be done (any virtual rotary pot turns of 1/10 on the screen at each full rotation of the physical control under the fingers). I bought it yesterday and while I'm testing it I've noticed some noises, so I record all 3 outs and all of them produce this surrounding 13KHz noise tone. Well, that's why I've bought this thing: to my ears, the onboard cab sims are realistic and natural, without grainy texture and/or harsh high range.

It includes simulations of four types of tube amplifiers, twenty speaker cabinets and eleven types of classic microphones that sound completely authentic thanks to IR technology. Do you think it would be a good idea to take the amp-in-a-box pedal (like the Oxford, AC Tone, British Sound, etc.

With the VU meter on the Pedalboard, it's easy to set it for whatever situation I am in, and I almost never even have to. If you’ve been playing electric guitar for a while and using guitar pedals, then you are probably getting pretty up to speed with how each pedal interacts with each other and how to get the “best peda. I use it's big brother, the Pedalboard, and it's been absolutely perfect, once I got the right presets in it for me. I don’t foresee using it at the same time as a real cab but if it’s long enough to be noticeable practicing with headphones that’ll be bad.

Regarding the IR, apart from 20 preset loading locations, it also supports storing 10 third party IRs, you can connect to the PC through the USB, and use the matching software to edit tones and update firmware, load or delete third party IRs. I'm less convinced by the mic sims: they appear to be mere EQing variations and the related settings have a rather subtle effect at first glance. There's some bugs, also: the name of the last cab tried temporarily remains on the screen even when a patch is reset, and the last two mics are not displayed when the onboard selecting wheel is used. Effects maniacs will also love the level of control provided by the GP-10’s EZ Tone, Amp Customize, and OD/DS Customize functions.

Pick up a Joyo Cab Box, I'm pretty sure you will see the massive value in a box that breathes new life into older effects unit. What I find odd is, I don’t use gates with my real amps playing at bedroom volumes, they’re pretty quiet. This pic involves a Vox AC15, captured as a whole amp by the Nux, and that I emulate with the response of its original cab (originally captured by the Nux) + the Joyo EL84 section + the onboard Joyo parametric EQ correcting the whole thing.
