Chivas has teamed up with French fashion house Balmain for a limited edition bottling of the cracking Chivas Regal XV. F. Paul Pacult described Chivas Regal 12 as "the blend for grown-ups", awarding it an impressive 9 out of 10. Chivas Regal is a world-famous Scotch blend which was first made in the early 20th century by Chivas Brothers. Inside it's the same delicious 15 year old blended Scotch, finished in casks that previously held Grande Champagne Cognac. It includes such notable distilleries as The Glenlivet, Aberlour and Scapa as well as Chivas Regal itself, which has a brand home at Strathisla distillery, and other blends including Royal Salute and Ballantine’s.

The Chivas Regal 18 Year Old was personally created by Master Blender Colin Scott, including over 20 single malts from around Scotland.

It offers a tidal wave of Strathisla malt and grain, and blockbuster taste notes from luxurious honey and vanilla to ripe apple. When I don’t know which bottle to pick from my bar, when I just want something in my hand, and when I don’t feel like “analyzing” what I am drinking… this works. Not as robust as Talisker or highland park or Ardbeg10 , but a solid value and great scotch for cocktails.
