So if you like any of the above (except Simply Belle), you'll like (and probably love) Amazing Grace. I have both the toilette and the parfum of this fragrance (not that it's entirely important, but the two bottles look VERY different, even down to the color of the perfume). my moms signature scent lol she wore it all the time when i was growing up so i always think of her when i smell it. Amazing Grace is a subtle smell that gently lingers, but feels as though it's cut short before it peaks. I'm not very big on the florals but I do love musk and this is a really pretty, soft, powdery musk that isn't complicated and doesn't do too much.

I am nearly out and frankly dreading the prospect of finding more because I heard that recent versions have gotten weaker. I'm perfectly happy to slate a perfume that I dislike (my other reviews on here can attest to that) and I'll wax lyrical for days about scents that make my heart sing. My roommates and friends seem to enjoy the scent on me, even after it’s turned into an obnoxiously long lasting musk.

It's too bad, because it seems like it would be a wonderful classic feminine smell and the label is so pretty, understated but lovely. Is it worth it to get an atomizer of Amazing Grace or is the longevity and projection just not there? Now that I have learned more about fragrances after a few years, I have changed my mind and am trying to train my nostrils and artistic sensibility in the world of fragrances! Some people really seem to love this, and I wanted to, but as other reviewers have noted, it smells like a harsh, screechy freesia-and-baby-powder fabric softener sheet to (and on) me. I see that most people smell the musk most prominently in this- but I always smelled a strong sweet rose smell.

Other days it starts off harsh and alcoholic, evolving into a clingy citrus-musk that lasts on my skin even after vigorous scrubs with rubbing alchohol/vinegar/baking soda. If you like the smell I'm sure you find something more powerful with a powdery musky scent without spending so much money on such weak sauce.

I can't believe there are 3 citruses listed here as notes, I barely smell any, just a bit of bergamot for a few fleeting minutes.
