Description

Stephen Kozeniewski (pronounced "causin' ooze key") lives in Pennsylvania, the birthplace of the modern zombie. Dark, haunting, and blisteringly satirical, Billy and the Cloneasaurus is the story of one "man's" attempt to finally become an individual in a world of copies. Without giving away spoilers, one of the "occupants" in the mysterious windmill happens to be a woman.

Until, of course, William 790 starts discovering more about the world he lives in and questioning if there is such a thing as free will or if he's just part of someone else's master plan. At first I wanted to say that this story is "cute" (and I"ll probably get lynched for that comment), Billy really does turn out to be a goofy, lovable character and I swear if I could find one to adopt I would so own a Cloneasaurus!I never like to say too much about a book because I prefer to go into books with as little info as possible, but I highly recommend this one!

Are we all just socio-cultural clones going through the motions and serving the powers that be all the time on a doomed train ride to personal and societal oblivion?

A range of t-shirts sold by independent artists featuring a huge variety of original designs in sizes XS-5XL; availability depending on style. While we attempt to keep our posts PG-13, the material reviewed and discussed is intended for adults (18 years and older). But the situation is described enough that my imagination filled in the details making ending far worse for me than the beginning.

Billy and the Cloneasaurus is a fascinating and darkly humorous look at where our world could end up. What I discovered is that the inside of Steven Kozeniewski’s mind in an incredibly interesting place to be. Billy and the Cloneasaurus is a wonderful story highlighting current issues in our society, and is a warning for what may come. What I love most about Billy and the Cloneasaurus is the way Kozeniewski throws us into the dystopia of Williamsport while gradually revealing its charm and relatability. When by some strange twist of fate, the clone before him didn’t take off his watch and thoroughly jams the machine.

What I enjoyed immensely about the storytelling was that we learn about this world from William 790-6 (57 th iteration), who is learning it all himself. All runs smoothly, because everyone knows what to expect, when to expect it and who to expect things from, until William 790-6 faces his expected expiration date and was about to be added into the slurry that fed and helped create the next William to take his place. However, upon reflection I think that would have gone against the grain of the whole concept—that with clones there are no surprises. It is especially seen as they all feel the innate pull to stay in their lanes, unquestioning the status quo. And then William 790-6 (57th iteration) questions the company where he works and the crass consumerism that it creates. They are given just enough of their own personality to be memorable while being similar enough for you to know they're clones which are no easy task.
