Told from the point of view of both mothers in alternating chapters, we discover very different versions of a similar story and many times I wanted to tell both of them to get a grip and start behaving like adults. I have nothing good to say - the writing wasn’t even worth the ride… I don’t know what is happening but if Lucinda Berry could please just go back to writing like she did in her 5 star books that would be great. Isaac didn't know it was his dad until he brought it up to stop Issac from unaliving himself and said if he did who will eat burgers and throw bottles at people (in the game) with him and isaac said omg your so and so?

all the steamy times, baking cupcakes, spaghetti Bolognese, and a HEA that is worth the plunge and delivers all the happy feels, then you will love Wes and Finn's story! I scanned through it, and at the end, I cared so less that I didn’t even look at the last couple of chapters. There was also a few plot holes, that I don't think would have been there if so much hadn't been going on. He is *very* much suspected of being a fellow Autistic, and because of his brilliance I was able to follow in his footsteps to rise myself out of being a trailer p. The novel has tiny, tiny bits of the good old Lucinda creepiness (I say tiny in the loosest sense) and I did like the aspect of the serial killer. I didn't like the inappropriate relationship that Jules had developed with Isaac, nor did I like what was revealed in the end. WOW - let me tell you I was pretty excited that my Goodreads buddy GirlWithThePinkSkiMask alerted me to this latest book from Lucinda Berry.

As the authorities work to solve the case, Amber and Jules come to their own realizations, leading to an unexpected ending.I would have like a POV from Isaac in this one, even though he wasn't a child, it could have added my connection to the story. The past and present collide with explosive consequences in this addictive, twisty thriller from an author at the top of her game. I didn't know that going in, but I've read a couple of Pagan's other books and had to read this one too. It's Jules, Jules, Jules and she is not willing to consider anything else and will stop at nothing to prove her point.

For more details, please consult the latest information provided by Royal Mail's International Incident Bulletin. There is a difference between a character keeping a secret from the reader, and the author keeping a secret from the reader. Idk how to explain it but it felt like in Finn’s POV read like he was writing the article, idk if that makes sense. It looks at the often-marginal behaviour of sailors living both figuratively and literally outside society's usual rules. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole story but it may be triggering for some as there are themes of death, suicide, and inappropriate relationships.I will definitely be recommending to friends and family and if you’re into psychological thrillers, make sure to read this! A lover of all things romance, Emily started writing books set in her favorite places around the world.
